LIMITED EDITION: Black Peaches in Sauvignon Blanc

These Black Peaches are extremely labour-intensive as each peach must be graded, peeled, have its stone removed, and then graded once more to ensure they are suitable for our jars. To aid in this process, Gus utilizes a new peeling machine which we have imported from Japan.

Augustines Black Peaches are tree-ripened at Moorpark and Mulberry Orchard in Cromwell. This heritage variety peach is paired with a Sauvignon Blanc syrup and then carefully hand preserved by Gus using traditional methods. Black Peaches are a unique, robust heritage peach variety, resistant to leaf curl and boasting a remarkably rich flavour. Its distinctive dark reddish-purple skin and flesh inspired its name. Primarily recognized in New Zealand, it shares ancestry with the Peche de Vigne, the famed black peach of France.
