Stop by and explore what’s on offer! Please note, we won’t post a menu on our website as it’s changing every week.
Augustines of Portobello Parking

We recommend reserving your table at Augustines of Portobello
Join us Friday to Sunday for fresh, delicious food in the stunning setting of the Otago Peninsula.
We recommend booking a table for weekends (Fridays are “Locals Day” with “Walk-Ins” welcome), as we’re limited to 25 guests at a time. We want to ensure everyone has a chance to be seated, especially if you're making the trip from Dunedin city centre. On weekends, we can accommodate groups of up to 10 guests at a time. For groups/ private functions of more than 10, please contact us directly.
How it works:
• Select a date (we’re open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for Breakfast, Brunch & Lunch). We only take reservations on weekends. Fridays are “Locals Day” with “Walk-Ins” welcome.
• Choose your area. For larger groups (4+), we recommend the “Long Table.”
• Pick your time and click "Next.”
Please note that our seating is shared as we’re limited to numbers.
Long Table: Seats 10. If you're booking for a party of 2, you'll likely share the table with others.
Medium Table: Seats 6. Partial bookings may mean sharing with other guests.
Window Bar: Accommodates 8 and is shared by everyone seated there.
Thank you for being so understanding!
We can’t wait to welcome you to the Farmstore & Kitchen!

About Augustines of Portobello
Part farm, part cafe, and part family home, Augustines of Portobello is run by Gus Hayden and Jana Reulecke. Gus and Jana moved from Wānaka to Portobello in 2022 to build a life and a new business on Fat Weka Farm, where Gus’s parents, Jeannie and Peter, had moved a decade earlier.
Having spent years working out of rented commercial kitchens, preparing and preserving the best of Central Otago’s produce, Gus finally had a permanent base for the Augustines brand, and so a new name was born: Augustines of Portobello.
Here, on the farm, Gus and Jana now grow much of the produce for the award-winning Augustines range, from thick, branching rhubarb and fresh blackcurrants to heritage apples. Working with the seasons and the ever-changing Dunedin weather, Augustines of Portobello presents an opportunity to get back to nature and indulge in fresh, farm-to-table food and locally-grown produce only 20 minutes from the Dunedin CBD.
Jitske, all the way from the Netherlands, and Anouk, our talented barista from Nelson, have joined our team, bringing their passion and expertise to our exciting venture!
