Augustines of Central is a boutique preserving company created by Gus (Augustine) Hayden to showcase the beauty of our local produce, Augustines uses traditional methods to give every kiwi a taste of Central Otago.
From picking the fruit to producing the preserves and jams, Gus is involved in every step of the process. Using only the freshest Central Otago produce, Augustines has created a range of multi award-winning small batch preserves, jams and chutneys with all of the colour, flavour and beauty that Otago is famous for.

The Rhubarb in Rosé is not too sweet and not too tart, picked locally from various spray-free patches including Gus’s parents house on the Otago Peninsula. It is then cooked to perfection in a (perfect match ) rosé wine syrup.
